Full Description
Miltary tank training area associated with Bovington Camp. Features dating to the early use of the area (Second World War and earlier) are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1-5). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. Some features associated with the military training activity have been described separatedly; features such as practice trencing (MDO30437), Craters (MDO30427, 30436, 30444) and firing ranges (MDO30422, 30423 and 30424).
