An area of First World War practice trenches is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1945 within the area of the First and Second World War Bovington Tank Training Site, on Chamberlayne's Heath. The trenches are constructed in a zig-zag fashion and are visible over an area measuring approximately 120 m by 110 m. (1) Other areas of practice trenches are located to the south (see MDO31301-3).
