Full Description
An area of possible bomb craters or fox holes are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s within the area of the First and Second World War Bovington Tank Training Site, on Tonerspuddle Heath, Affpuddle. The earthworks consist of sub-circular and sub-oval depressions measuring between 1 m by 1 m and 9 m by 6 m. The features are visible over an area measuring approximately 725 m by 550 m. (1-3) These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
