Abstract/Summary
Report on an archaeological evaluation of a site proposed for a new waste transfer and management centre. Trial trenches were dug to investigate anomalies identified by earlier geophysical survey, and most anomalies were shown to be of archaeological origin. Amongst these was an Iron Age farmstead and associated field system, with features suggesting continuity of activity into the Roman period.
