Title Toller Porcorum High Street. Archaeological Evaluation.
Author/Originator
Date/Year 1993

Abstract/Summary

‘In June 1993 a small assessment excavation was undertaken by students from Bournemouth University on a series of earthworks that were thought to be building platforms in a field lying to the south-east of the High Street (Fig. 1). To the south-east of the earthworks is a deep hollow which runs approximately parallel to the High Street and may be a holloway. In the same field, to the north-east of the earthworks, is a large area which does not appear to have any earthworks although it is closer to the centre of the village.’
