Summary

Archaeological work in 2014 during groundworks for an extension and garage revealed part of a large pit. The filling of the pit contained two small sherds of pottery of thirteenth or fourteenth century date. More pottery of this date was found in a layer overlying the natural subsoil, also suggesting settlement in this area in the medieval period.
