Full Description
A small undated ditch was identified in the south eastern part of evaluation trench 77 of the archaeological evaluation of the Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme route. This ditch was oriented roughly NE-SW and corresponded to geophysical anomaly 234. It was about 1m wide and 0.3m deep with an irregular narrow-based profile with three identified fills. No artefactual evidence was recovered. [1] [2]

Ditch 77005 (Fig. 9, Section 17) lay at the south-eastern extent of Trench 77 and its location corresponded to a linear geophysical anomaly. It contained three fills primary fill 77004, secondary fill 77003 and final 77002 from which no artefactual material was recovered.
