Full Description

A bowl barrow, 35ft diameter by 4ft high with top dug into; situated on Moigns Down. <2> <3>

In pasture. Diameter 13.0m, height 1.5m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 2002 and 2009 on Moigns Down, Owermoigne. The barrow is sub-circular in shape and measures approximately 12 m in diameter. <6-7> The barrow is scheduled together with three others located to the east (see MDO1861, MDO1862 and MDO1863). This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
