Description
Site code: W186. Excavation carried out as part of the Dorchester By-pass project. RCHME Microfilm Index PRN: 4875.
Two excavation trenches were excavated: Trench A exposed the eastern side of a Bronze Age enclosure and a substantial linear ditch on a spur above a dry valley. A single round house was found within the enclosure. Trench B was excavated through the colluvium in the dry valley and exposed a series of Early Bronze Age postholes sealed beneath a deep colluvial sequence.
