Abstract/Summary
The following report contains the result of investigations undertaken during December 1986 on the site of the proposed roundabout at Norden, Corfe Castle, Dorset. The archaeological assessment was carried out by geophysical survey using a fluxgate gradiometer (magnetometer) with a data logger. Also, hand-excavated trial pits located on anomalies recorded from the geophysical surveying, as well as random pitting. The survey was unable to reveal any extensive areas of anomalies likely to be of an archaeological nature.
