Full Description
Trial pits targeted following geophysical survey recovered examples of Medieval and Romano British pottery and shale. The evaluation concluded that archaeological activity had taken place within the development zone, but was unable to further characterise its nature / form / extent. It was concluded that this would be possible only through the stripping by open excavation of a wider sample area (or the whole area). (1)
