Abstract/Summary
AC Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation to the rear of 9 High East Street, Dorchester in June 2005. Two trenches 5m by 1m were excavated in the garden of the property. These revealed deep soils overlying archaeological deposits and features of Roman date, including part of the metalled surface of a Roman road running N-S.
