Abstract/Summary
Description of extensive crop-marks to north of Maiden Castle. Fieldwalking revealed a scatter of Roman pottery from 1st to 4th century. In a field north of Bush Road Cottages fieldwalking revealed a scatter of building debris and pottery including some tesserae, roof tile, Samian and 1st century and 3rd-4th century coarsewares. One trench excavated exposed the ditch of one of the enclosures, suggests a 1st century AD date for this enclosure.
