Title Observations along the Wessex Water Authority supply pipe: Alington Avenue and Mount Pleasant

Abstract/Summary

A short report on a watching brief undertaken during the digging of a pipeline along the south side of Alington Avenue and immediately south of Mount Pleasant. Little significant archaeology found along side of Alington Avenue. A few small postholes and some rectangular features were found in the area adjacent to Mount Pleasant. Some Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age pottery, Roman pottery (mainly Black-burnished ware and one samian sherd) and worked flint were recovered from the surface.
