Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with the excavation of drainage trenches at the Roman town house, Colliton Park, Dorchester, was undertaken by AC archaeology during May 2003.
Two trenches and a soakaway were hand-excavated, with the work confirming, at least in this area, that the original excavation of the site in the 1930s had fully removed all archaeological features and the site excavated to natural chalk.
