Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AC archaeology during May 2003, during groundworks associated with the excavation of drainage trenches at the Roman town house, Colliton Park, Dorchester. Two trenches and a soakaway were hand-excavated, with the work confirming that, at least in this area, the original excavation of the site in the 1930s had fully removed all archaeological features and been excavated to natural chalk.
