Abstract/Summary
A watching brief was maintained by Terrain Archaeology during the construction of a new extension to the rear of the Dorset Town Council Offices at 19 North Square, Dorchester in March 2003.
A small number of Roman and medieval features, primarily pits were uncovered. Post-medieval features included a well and numerous garden and yard surfaces. On the northern boundary of the site was an ice-house.
