Abstract/Summary

Archaeological observations and recording were carried out by Terrain Archaeology during the construction of a new two storey extension behind the Dorset Town Council offices. A small number of Roman and medieval features, primarily pits, were uncovered. Post-medieval features included a well and numerous garden and yard surfaces. On the northern boundary of the site was an icehouse.
