Abstract/Summary
‘The evaluation was carried out as intended. Six trenches excavated to the north-west of the application site revealed only agricultural features of Post-Medieval or later date and this part of site is considered to have negligible archaeological potential. Fourteen trenches excavated around Scheduled barrow mound revealed some evidence for Post-Medieval ridge and furrow ploughing system surviving on site, an undated ditch and, also undated, but of likely relatively recent date, a charcoal rich feature. This part of site is considered to have low archaeological potential.’
