Abstract/Summary
The evaluation revealed a recent mortar pit cutting a Victorian garden soil above a made ground or buried topsoil which produced finds of Roman pottery, dated to late 3rd to 4th century AD, and painted wall plaster. Excavation did not penetrate deeper than the top of this deposit and the natural geology was not reached.
