Author/Originator | Time Team |
Date/Year | 2003 |
Abstract/Summary
‘In July 2003 an archaeological field evaluation was carried out by Time Team in the property of 11 Bryanston St, Blandford Forum, Dorset (NGR: ST 883 064). The project was part of the Big Dig television programme and as such the Time Team was invited to investigate the potential of the site by the current landowner Mr David Parry. The evaluation revealed no evidence of structures associated with the town that existed prior to the Great Fire of Blandford Forum, 1731, nor structures post dating it. No conclusive evidence was identified suggestion that the fire spread as far west as this property. Locally produced, Verwood Pottery, was identified.’
