Description
An evaluation carried out by Time Team as part of the Big Dig television programme. One 1m by 1m test pit was dug by hand under archaeological supervision to a maximum depth of 0.62m. No evidence was seen to suggest that the Great Fire of 1731 reached this area, and no evidence of medieval or earlier activity in this area.
