Abstract/Summary
In June 2003, a programme of archaeological trial trenching was carried out by AC archaeology Ltd at West Woodyates Manor, near Sixpenny Handley, Dorset. The trial trenching was undertaken in relation to a planning application for the construction of a new swimming pool with ancillary works and an extension to the rear main property. The trial trenching follows a previous archaeological desk-based assessment and the proposed trench layout plan was agreed in advance with the Dorset Council senior archaeologist.
