Abstract/Summary
This report describes the results of geophysical surveys at three scheduled long barrows near Chettle in Dorset.
The first was a small long barrow where a ploughed oval mound still exists, the second survey was on a long monument and was able to additionally identify the character of the southern flanking ditch, the third survey was conducted on a sizeable mound and was able to confirm the location and character of the ditch.
The results from this survey provide a valuable addition to the relatively small but growing corpus of well-defined long barrow ditch plans.
