Abstract/Summary
Following a geophysical survey and trench evaluation undertaken in 2019, AC Archaeology Ltd carried out an archaeological excavation in November 2021. The subsequent archaeological excavation was limited in extent and revealed limited evidence for further archaeological activity.
The area investigated is considered to represent the western extent of a more extensive Romano-British settlement that lies under existing housing on the south side of Roman Road and considered to be related to a possible port at Radipole.
