Abstract/Summary
Licensed by English Heritage under Section 42 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979, a geophysical survey using magnetometry was carried out on the interior of the Iron Age hillfort at Banbury over two days in May 2013.
Ploughing has removed all surface features and reduced the ramparts to a slight ridge. Some anomalies could represent pits but the magnetometry survey fails to detect any possible structures associated with them.
