Abstract/Summary
Stratascan were commissioned by Wessex Archaeology to undertake a geophysical survey of an area outlined for development as a link road. A detailed magnetic survey was carried out over 6.8ha of land near West Stafford. The results have identified numerous responses likely to be caused by infilled cut features, most notably a circular feature and prominent linear response with a possible entrance in the north of the site. A further rectilinear feature is seen in the south east. These are likely to be caused by archaeological cut features although it is not possible to determine if they are contemporary with each other.
