Abstract/Summary

Report on geophysical survey of a site where Roman coins and other material had been found by metal detectorists, suggested to be a possible temple site. Approximately ha was surveyed. Conditions were not good, as the fields were under maize. However, one anomaly was identified as part of an oval enclosure, and this was subsequently excavated to reveal a barrow and associated quarry pits. A second circular feature with a square enclosure inside it was tentatively identified; responses were weak and this may be geological or agricultural in origin.
