Abstract/Summary
An intermittent archaeological watching brief was carried out during initial groundworks for the construction of earthwork embankments as part of improvements to the A35 near Dorchester. No archaeological features or deposits were revealed and no finds recovered. Much of the site had been previously reduced to the level of the natural chalk and any archaeological remains that may have existed were probably removed at that time.
