Abstract/Summary
Archaeological monitoring during the excavation of trenches for a small stone built shelter at Lake Gates, near Wimborne, Dorset, was carried out during late August 2000. The site is located immediately west of a 1st century Roman Fortress, and despite the monitoring works being carried out on a comprehensive basis, there were no archaeological features, deposits or finds present within the footings trenches.
