Abstract/Summary
'An archaeological evaluation, consisting of six machine-excavated trenches, was undertaken by AC archaeology on land at Charlton Marshall, Dorset in February 2010. The evaluation followed a recent geophysical survey, with the trenches being located to target a series of possible geophysical anomalies or areas of magnetic disturbance. Archaeological features of prehistoric date, probably Middle Bronze Age and Iron Age, were recorded in most trenches. These included ditches, pits, a metalled track and possible linear boundary ditch. Quantities of prehistoric pottery and struck flint were recovered.'
