Abstract/Summary
Archaeological monitoring of the excavation of two small trenches for the repair and refurbishment of a water main in the vicinity of Corscombe Court, Dorset, took place on 26th June and 10th July 1997. Excavations were carried out by a JCB-type mechanical excavator, and conditions for observing archaeological features during this type of operation were generally good. Both trenches showed evidence of previous ground disturbance during the initial installation of the water main, and no archaeological features or finds were observed.
