Full Description
It is documented that Bestwall saw military activity during the civil war (1640-1644). Recovered musket balls, ceramics (with local ware predominating) and clay pipes from this period. Other metal work includes coins, buttons, buckles, horse furniture, two spoons, three seals and a large number of 17th century traders tokens (1).
