Summary

Several features of Roman date were recorded in 1996 during evaluation of a site proposed for the building of a house in the grounds of the Springhead public house. Linear ditches of early Roman and of 3rd or 4th-century date were interpreted as boundary and/or drainage ditches. A posthole of possible Roman date was also recorded.
