Summary

A World War II slit trench, located at East Cliff, near 'Shepherd's Dinner', alongside footpath no.16, Portland. It had good cover for landings at East Weares. It was constructed in 1940-41 and was probably used by the Home Guard Unit of HM Prison at The Grove. A field visit in 1997 located no traces of the trench.
