Full Description
Eagle House stands on the west side of White Cliff Mill Street, 130 yards from the junction with Salisbury Street. Since the architectural style suggests a date rather earlier than 1731 it seems possible that this was 'Widdow Evens dwelling house, pretty good, chimneys and part of the walls standing', as noted in Bastard's Survey Book, p. 15; but the value of #78 seems low for such a handsome house. <2-3>
