Summary

Bowl barrow on the west slope of a ridge south east of Kingcombe Farm. In 1970 the monument was recorded as much ploughed, with a diameter of some 65 feet and a height of one and a half feet. The site of this barrow is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valley AIM project.

Full Description

Probably two confluent bowl barrows with diameters of 22 paces and height of 2 ft. <2>

These barrows were not investigated but at least one pronounced mound was noted in the crops. <3>

Probably one of two confluent bowl barrows, ploughed. <4>

A'. Sy 74529999. An irregular mound, diameter approximately 20.0 metres, height 0.5 metres. … Neither has a visible ditch, and both have been much ploughed down, but spread ditches can be seen as cropmarks on the OS AP, contiguous, not confluent. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <6>
