Full Description
A trial pit dug in 1953 between the house and cess-pit at 20 West Walls discovered numerous Romano-British domestic pottery, two stratified earth floors and a pit containing early Romano-British sherds sealed by the floors. While digging the cess-pit in 1936 a wide-mouthed jar of late Roman type was discovered.
