Monument record MDO777 - Bowl barrow, one of the Bushy Eweleaze Group, Charminster

A possible Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1970 the monument was recorded as having an irregular mound measuring 37 feet by 27 feet, and surviving some two and a half feet high before ploughing. The barrow is visible as a slightly elliptical earthwork 26m by 21m on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

B & C. Two bowl barrows. Average 15 1/2 paces in diameter, 1ft high. <2>

'B' and 'C', bowl barrows, both much ploughed down. Average diameters 14.0m; average heights 0.2m. The field within which these bowl barrows and the cairns are situated is now grass covered. <3>

Tumuli (B & C) no longer exist and have been deleted from field document. <4>

`B' - SY 68059612 ? Barrow, an irregular mound 35ft diameter by 27ft diameter and 2ft high before ploughing situated 100 yds SE of `A'. <6>

All three barrows have been ploughed out. <7>
