Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1970 the monument was recorded as being thickly overgrown and no diameter was measured. Its height was about two and a half feet. It is apparently disturbed in its centre. In 1959 Grinsell recorded it as being of irregular plan. The barrow is visible as a sub-circular 23.5m in diameter earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

`C' - SY 67789610. Probable barrow, irregular in plan with no measurable diameter but 2.5ft high. Covered with furze. <2>

`C' - (36) - SY 67789610. Barrow? 140 yds east of `B' on a gentle east slope; irregular in shape and apparently disturbed in centre. Thickly overgrown when visited. No diameter measurable but height about 2.5ft. <3>

`B' and `C'; ploughed out. Revised at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
