Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow just north of Forston Barn on the south slope of Cowden Hill. In 1970 the monument was recorded as being some 60 feet in diameter, and one and a half feet high. The feature is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

A bowl barrow. Diameter 20 paces. Height 2ft. (2)

A grass covered bowl barrow, 19.0m diameter, 1.0m high. No trace of a ditch. (3)

SY 67159665. Bowl barrow, about 60ft diameter and 1.5ft high, just north of Forston Barn. (4)

The barrow is visible as a sub-circular 18.5m in diameter earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <7>
