Summary

A bowl barrow on a ridge. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 61 feet in diameter with a mound about 2 feet high. The site is visible as a low earthwork mound on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

A bowl barrow, 20 paces in diameter and 3 1/2ft. high. (2)

A bowl barrow, 24 metres diameter, 2.0 metres high. Under root crop. No sign of excavation. (3)

SY 82579728. Bowl barrow, 61ft diameter and 2ft high, ploughed and situated at the floor of a lynchet (see SY 89 NW 33). (4)

SY 82579727. It was not possible to visit this barrow because of crops. Revised at 1:2500 on M.S.D. from R.C.H.M. measurements. (5)

A bowl barrow located 790 metres north-east of Haywards Farm. The barrow mound is composed of earth, flint and chalk and measures up to 18 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres in height. It forms part of a group of 11 barrows, which together form a round barrow cemetery on Roke Down. (6)

The site of this barrow is visible as a low earthwork mound 16m across on lidar imagery (9) and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
