Full Description
'B' - Ditched bowl barrow, mutilated, 15.0m diameter and 1.4m high covered with fern and heather.
The surrounding ditch is faint and averages 2.0m wide and 0.1m deep. <2>
Bowl barrow, 54ft diameter and 4 ¾ ft high. Grinsell refers to this barrow as having a ditch and hollow-centre and dimensions of 18 paces diameter x 6ft high. <3> <4>
'B' SY 79079212, diameter 15.0m., height 1.5m., with faint and unsurveyable traces of a ditch.
Re-surveyed at 1.2500 on MSD. <5>
The barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010. It is sub-circular in shape and measures 15 m in diameter. <7> The barrow is scheduled with another barrow, located immediately to the north (see MDO6994). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
