Summary

A pronounced hollow-way runs east from Upton Farm buildings through the lawns to the north of Upton House and is probably the remains of the earlier road from Wareham to Poole before it was moved northwards in the later nineteenth century.

Full Description

A pronounced hollow-way is visible running east from Upton Farm buildings through the lawns to the north of Upton House and corresponds with the road from Wareham to Poole as indicated on the 1822 Great Canford Enclosure Map. (1)
