Observations and recording in 1991 during construction of the Wessex Water Sturminster Marshall to Blandford St Mary water main recorded a vertically-sided ditch or pit some two metres wide. No finds were recovered, and the feature remains undated

Full Description
A ditch or pit (Ditch 16) two metres wide with vertical sides was found during a watching brief along the line of the Sturminster Marshall to Blandford St Mary water main by Wessex Archaeology in 1991. No finds were recovered from this feature, which is undated. [1]
