Full Description

A probable Early Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of a group on Launceston and Crichel Downs excavated in 1938. The barrow is no longer extant as an earthwork. The mound was "only a few inches high" and about 18 feet in diameter. No ditch was present. Three shallow scrapes or pits were found beneath the mound, one containing a few fragments of unburnt bone, another containing no artefacts, and the third featuring a cremation and sherds of a pottery vessel.

Note that ST 91 SE 154 and ST 91 SE 155 were formerly part of this record.

Visited by MPPA in March 2000, but since all are heavily denuded, not recommended for scheduling.
