Summary

Earthworks associated with the southern of the two ornamental lakes built in about 1750, and associated with Horton Tower as part of a planned landscape. A low linear bank 355m long forming dam at the southern end of the lake is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. It is associated with other earthworks and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Earthworks associated with the southern of the two ornamental lakes built in about 1750, and associated with Horton Tower as part of a planned landscape. A low linear bank 355m long forming dam at the southern end of the lake is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. It is associated with other earthworks and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
