'Plot 46.26 SU 04830273 Uddens Park.
Early Medieval (12th to 13th century) pottery was recovered over-lying, and in the top fill of, a shallow ditch revealed when topsoil was removed for construction. The pottery is similar to material recovered from Purbeck where, the presence of wasters suggests, the kiln site lies (Jo Draper. Pers. com.). A further two ditches, containing a small amount of the same pottery were observed in the pipetrench sides. No clear evidence for the continuation of these ditches was found by geophysical survey outside the easement.'
