Summary

A round barrow reported as being around 30 feet in diameter and visible as a slight earthwork. The site of this plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a soilmark mound and cropmark ring ditch on aerial photographs and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

A group of round barrows on Deverel Down in Milborne St Andrew and Winterborne Whitechurch parishes. 'A' - SY 82349938. Barrow?, heavily ploughed and now visible as a slight rise about 30ft diameter. (RCHM Winterborne Whitechurch No 22; Grinsell's Milton Abbas No 5). <2-3>

SY 822993. Group of six round barrows on Deverell Down. Scheduled. (This group undoubtably includes some of the barrows at SY 821991 - See SY 89 NW 16). <4>
