Summary

Archaeological evaluation in 2015 of a site proposed for development revealed evidence of Iron Age/Romano-British settlement, in the form of various pits, post holes and small drainage ditches. Finds from the features included fragments of a quern stone, and suggested a small agricultural settlement. A feature interpreted as a grain drier or pottery kiln (MDO51000) was also recorded.
